“A symphony of meadows, wood and gentle mountain ranges in front of the fortissimo and the clear fanfares sound of rejoicing peaks and ridges of the Dolomites on one side and of the Zillertaler Alps on the other.” For those who don’t know the Pustertal this would be a proper description. In the course of their weekly hiking tours the tourism boards of our holiday region would like to invite you to feel out this wild and yet cultivated land.

Trekking and Hiking portal for South Tyrol online

The website www.trekking.suedtirol.info is a trekking portal based on GPS which helps to plan and organize tours. The AlpIne Club South Tyrol (AVS) has recorded and digitized a network of hiking and mountain paths covering over 16,000 kilometres and developed a hiking trail information system unique in Europe.

Way of St. James in South Tyrol

Pilgrims and travelers are offered board and lodging, medical care and most of all spiritual consolidation along the Road to St. James in South Tyrol. The road and path network is divided into 6 stages and is the point of intersection of two big routes, the one from the North to the South and the one from the East to the West. Pilgrims have the possibility to learn more about culture, nature and traditions of South Tyrol during their pilgrimage. It is a combination of solidarity, meditation and prayers.
