Winter hiking on Kronplatz

Legendary Hiking
It is an extraordinary experience to hike in the footsteps of the knight „Prack zu Asch“. The myth says he had his own path to cross the Kronplatz. This route, which is partly subterraneous, proceeds through the so-called “Prackenlöchern” where even the knight could ride through. Today it might be better to stay above ground in the fresh air and to stop at one of the culinary triumvirates which had not existed in those times: Lorenzihütte, Huberalm and Prackenhütte. Green marking, walking time: 1.5 hours.

Culinary Hiking
Apropos magic huts. Beside the wonderful views from Olang, Rasen, Antholz and the upper Pustertal valley, this primarily downwards-leading trail offers a gourmet experience at Lorenzihütte, Obereggeralm, Niedereggerhütte and Bad Bergfall. Follow the blue marking, walking time about 2 – 2.5 hours.
