On a shopping tour in Bruneck

So, you have already savoured the natural and cultural treasures of our region and are now in the mood for an exhilarating shopping tour? Amidst its sights and the relaxed atmosphere of many cafés, the historic centre of Bruneck/Brunico boasts the perfect location for a classic shopping spree. Stroll along the vibrant city alley called “Stadtgasse”, discover many different shops, let the colourful shop windows entice you to step inside and browse through the great variety of products. From international fashion chains and classy boutiques to gourmet and traditional shops – there are products to suit every taste and lifestyle. Yet, there is one thing you shouldn’t miss: make sure to stop off at one of the welcoming bars and cafés to relax with a delicious cup of coffee or raise a glass to a successful shopping trip while savouring a refreshing aperitif!

Our tips

In August, the “long Fridays” ensure an extra-long shopping experience as the city centre is enlivened by music and gastronomy whilst the shops stay open until 10.30 p.m.

→ If you are interested in experiencing the characteristic flair of a traditional local market, you should plan a visit at the end of October. This is when the largest market in Tyrol takes place: the “Stegener Markt” (or “Stega Morscht” as we call it) is a great highlight which attracts visitors from different regions and countries to our valley.

Local producers & markets

The Kronplatz Dolomites Region is also a great place to look for all kinds of homemade, handmade and regional products outside the city of Bruneck. Family-run businesses, artisans and local producers are waiting to surprise you with their skilful creations and mouth-watering treats in the quaint villages surrounding the Kronplatz/Plan de Corones. On top of that, you will find weekly and farmers’ markets offering fresh regional fruit and vegetables, fish and meat, cheese and pasta as well as schnapps, souvenirs, decorations and much more. If you fancy looking for a little piece of the Pustertal valley to take back home for yourself or as a gift, this is where you’ll find it!
