Valle Anterselva - Antholzertal

Anterselva di Sotto-Antholz Niedertal (1.135 m) lies in a wide valley amidst fruitful meadows and fields. Then the valley gets a little narrow. This is where you find Anterselva di Mezzo-Antholz Mittertal (1.250 m). Anterselva di Sopra-Antholz Obertal (1.532 m) is not a closed village and after a few kilometres uphill you reach the wonderfully situated Lake Anterselva-Antholz at 1,640 m. The mighty mountain chain Rieserfernergruppe with the well-known Hoch-(3.436 m) and Wildgall (3.273 m) look like protective arms and they lead you to the neighbouring valley, Rino di Tures-Rein in Taufers, and a winding road brings you via the Passo Stalle-Stallersattel to the Defreggental in East Tyrol.
