Kronplatz - Plan de Corones
New projects for the future

Ried railroad connection

The new lift and slope in Ried are planned to open for the 2010/11 winter season. Passing across the eastern ridge of Mount Kronplatz, a 7 km slope will take the skiers to the new train station in Percha. From the railway station, a new cable car leads directly to the base station of the existing lifts, from where the skiers can easily reach the peak of Mount Kronplatz.
This way, every visitor has the chance to use the train for their daily transfer to the slopes. By avoiding the use of the ski bus or their own car, each skier may contribute to reduce CO2 emissions and "do their bit" to protect the environment.
The new 7 km blue/red slope also broadens the choice of slopes on offer within the Kronplatz ski resort, making for a grand total of 112 km.

Cianross

The Cianross cable car is due to re-open for the 2009/10 winter season. In 2007, the lift facility was badly damaged by a mudslide during the summer months. The reconstruction of the cable car system will make the slopes Cianross (37) and Corn (38) available again to skiers.

New Marchner cable car

The Marchner lift will get a complete makeover for the winter season: Because the chairlift has in the past exceeded its capacities, it will now be replaced with a brand new cable car system. The new lift is a world novelty as its gondolas offer heated leather seats and space for up to 10 skiers at a transport capacity of 3,000 passengers/hour.
Another innovation: the base station has slightly been moved, and the peak station is now directly connected to the Belvedere cable car.
