The
new lift and slope in Ried are planned to open
for the 2010/11 winter season. Passing across the eastern ridge of Mount Kronplatz, a
7 km slope will take the skiers to the
new train station in Percha. From the railway station, a new cable car leads directly to the base station of the existing lifts, from where the skiers can easily reach the peak of Mount Kronplatz.
This way, every visitor has the chance to use the
train for their daily transfer to the slopes. By avoiding the use of the ski bus or their own car, each skier may contribute to reduce CO2 emissions and "do their bit" to
protect the environment.
The new
7 km blue/red slope also broadens the choice of slopes on offer within the Kronplatz ski resort, making for a grand
total of 112 km.
