The Stegona market

26.10.2010 - 28.10.2010

At the Stegona market the scene is once again set for them: the stalls offering hot chestnuts at the beginning, the
lady behind the clothes stall, the seller of leather jackets, the cheese seller, the stalls with mulled wine and "würstel”, the sellers of animals and the flashing lights of the funfair and finally the meeting place in the marquee. Why go to the '"Oktoberfest" in Munich or the "Prater” in Vienna? Shop, celebrate and have fun - all this and more can be done at the biggest Tyrolean market. So everyone down to the market as an old saying goes; Those who want a good winter should go to the Stegona market.

18.9.2010

Another exciting top-class event at Kronplatz: On 18 September 2010, the 1st International Mountain Run will see athletes running from the town of Bruneck all the way up to the top of Mount Kronplatz, where in winter times skiers and snowboarders rush down the slopes. Setting off from Bruneck Town Hall Square (Rathausplatz), the route will lead the runners to the peak of Kronplatz (2275m) via St. Lorenzen, Maria Saalen and the Furkel pass. The last part to be tackled is the notorious and legendary slope of the Giro d'Italia. On a total of 30 km, the athletes will have to master an altitude difference of 1,300 m. A unique premiere event for mountain runners from all over the world.
