18.9.2010-19.9.2010
At the end of next summer, Mount Kronplatz will host an exciting top-class event: On 18 September 2010, the
1st International Mountain Run will see athletes running from the town of Bruneck
all the way up to the
top of Mount Kronplatz, where in winter times skiers and snowboarders rush down the slopes. Setting off from
Bruneck Town Hall Square (Rathausplatz), the route will lead the runners
to the peak of Kronplatz (2275m) via St. Lorenzen, Maria Saalen and the Furkel pass. The last part to be tackled is the notorious and legendary slope of the
Giro d'Italia. On a total of
30 km, the athletes will have to master an altitude difference of
1,300 m. On sunday Mount Kronplatz must be reached by
mountainbike. A unique premiere event for mountain runners from all over the world.
