Kronplatz - a mountain for active holiday-makers
One of the most beautiful panoramic lookout points of the Pustertal Valley Kronplatz is an ideal
hiking destination for everyone: "Float" to the top of Mount Kronplatz in a state-of-the-art cable car and be inspired by the unique peak plateau. Visit the impressive
Concordia 2000 peace bell and marvel at the stunning views of the surrounding peaks. Then go for a stroll on one of the many paved panoramic trails and take in some more of the awe-inspiring views from the summit. A perfect day out for hikers, nature lovers and families - suitable even for push chairs!
More experienced hikers might want to opt for reaching the top of Kronplatz or walking back down on one of the many well-indicated hiking trails. Especially brave visitors may even choose to race down the Herrnsteig mountain bike downhill trail which takes you from the top of Mount Kronplatz to the Brunico/Riscone-Bruneck/Reischach valley station.
Bikes and the necessary equipment can be rented directly at the cable car valley station. Once the cable car drops you at the top, it's speedy downhill fun galore! Another option back down is to take a tandem
paragliding flight: Glide straight from the top of Kronplatz softly down into valley, high up above the trees. An experience like no other!
It's possible to crest the mountain peak with the cable car of Reischach, Furkelpass and Olang.
