General conditions of sale

1) The Dolomiti Superski Consortium and the 12 associated Consortia of the valley, act on the strength of the agency contract conferred upon them by independent companies (administrators) which are exclusively responsible for the management of the individual ski facilities and their connected services. The said administrators are the sole and exclusive contracting parties of the present contract.

2) The skipass is a personal document and includes the name and surname and/or photo of the bearer. The skipass may not be transferred, even free of charge, nor may it be exchanged or altered. The validity of the skipass can be extended starting from the 6th day of use (5 € surcharge). A valley skipass cannot be exchanged for a Dolomiti Superski one or vice versa. Multi-day skipasses – up to 7 days - are marked with the letters M (for men), F (for women), S (for senior citizens), J (for juniors) and B (for children under the age of 8).

3) The debit card is not a personal card and it is only valid in the season in which it was issued.

4) To obtain a discount, granted to seniors (S), juniors (J) and children (B), purchasers must show their identity card – not replaceable by self-certification – attesting to the existence of the prerequisites for entitlement to the aforementioned discount, according to the details provided in the leaflet available at the points of sale.

5) By signing for acceptance of the free skipasses with photo granted to children under 8 years of age (age must be suitably documented), the person signing declares that he/she is aware of the civil liabilities (arts. 2047 and 2048 of the Italian Civil Code) connected with the supervision of minors, also when they use the facilities, and of the code of conduct provided for by Law no. 363/2003 and subsequent amendments and additions, and all legal provisions in force on the subject.
The administrator declines all responsibility for damages deriving from the improper use of the facilities, as well as those deriving from improper behaviour on the part of the users during the hours spent at the ski facilities, on the ski slopes and in the areas around the same.

6) Whenever validating is required, the skipass must be shown, upon request, to the lift personnel and to the inspectors who are entitled to check the identity of the user.

7) If a skipass is misused in any way, it will immediately be revoked and/or declared null and void and/or suspended without prejudice to the right to take legal action against the transgressor in accordance with both civil and criminal law. The skipass may also be withdrawn or suspended by the competent controlling bodies in the event of infringement of national, regional or provincial laws.

8) Withdrawn or deliberately damaged skipasses will neither be replaced nor reimbursed. In the event of losing a multi-day or seasonal skipass, daily or afternoon skipasses thus excluded, it is possible to request a replacement from the central issuing points by notifying the number of the original skipass lost in order to prevent it from being used by third parties. The replaced skipass will be valid from the day after that of the request and consequent disabling of the old one.
The administration fee is € 5,00. This amount will not be refunded even if the original skipass is subsequently found. For cancellations of skipasses purchased online via e-ticketing an amount of € 10.00 will be charged.

9) Only in the case of skiing accidents will it be possible to receive a partial reimbursement of the unused skipass, which must include the name or photo of the bearer. The reimbursement is limited to the days following that of the return of the skipass. For this reason daily skipasses cannot be reimbursed.
The request, to be presented to the central sales offices, must be accompanied by the following documents:
- the skipass itself
- copy of the accident report issued by the ski facility first-aid operators or a medical certificate (drawn up by a doctor practising on a stable basis in the area or from the hospital to which the patient was taken), demonstrating that the accident was effectively a skiing accident and the degree of injury is such as to prevent the continuation of the sports activity
The reimbursement is calculated based on how many days have already been used by the bearer. The persons accompanying the injured party are not entitled to reimbursement.

10) The skipass or debit card are given to the skier in commodatum. The bearer is responsible for keeping the skipass or debit card in good condition, which remains the property of the issuing office.

11) The skipass and debit card, as transport documents, serve as a tax receipt (Ministerial Decree of 30/06/92 and subsequent amendments and additions) and must be retained throughout transportation.

12) No guarantee is given that all lift facilities of the Dolomiti Superski area will be in operation nor that all ski slopes will be usable, given the fact their conditions are subordinated to – for example – the weather, snowfalls, safety and the provisions laid down by the authorities. The correct choice of itinerary must be suited to the user abilities and to the opening times of the ski facilities. Some lifts may be closed and some ski runs limited in use at the beginning and close of the season due to above-mentioned reasons and depending on the influx of skiers.

13) The validity of the seasonal skipass and 12 days in the season is guaranteed until the 28/03/2011, except for those provisions covering lift operation and the condition of the slopes given in the aforementioned point 12. If snow conditions and numbers of skiers justify the operation of lifts after this date, seasonal skipasses and 12 days in the season will be accepted until 25/04/2011 by the lifts in operation.

14) The classification of the slopes on the ski maps is only an indication. For safety reasons it is forbidden to use the slopes outside the permissible times. Transgressors shall be responsible for any damaging consequences resulting from such infringement in accordance with both civil and criminal law.

15) Skiers ski at their own risk and must adjust their speed according to their own skiing level, the conditions of the terrain, visibility and the quality of the snow, and they must strictly adhere to the sign-postings.
Skiers are, moreover, bound to observe the appropriate provincial and regional legislation as well as the code of conduct provided for by Law no. 363/2003 and subsequent amendments, displayed in the skipass sales offices, on the ski lifts and published on the Dolomiti Superski website.

16) Brief note about the use of the personal data: The information stated in article 13 of the Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 is displayed at the skipass sales offices and published on the Dolomiti Superski website.

17) The skipass-prices could vary in case of exceptional intervention by tax, valutation or social authorities.
