Sella Ronda

Ski tour in the Dolomites
Sella Ronda: the skitour of the four Dolomite Passes around the
Sella massif, one of the most spectacular of the world. The tour can be done easily in one day, without removing your skis and passing through the four Ladin valleys:
Val Gardena,
Alta Badia,
Val di Fassa and
Arabba. It can be done clockwise or anticlockwise, starting from any of the four valleys. Clockwise the colour of the signposting is orange, anticlockwise it is green. It covers a total distance of 40 km, 26 of which are ski slopes. The Sella Ronda tour can be done by skiers of intermediate level.
Connecting skiers
Hop from Kronplatz across into the Sella Ronda? No problem at all. Our skibus shuttle takes you straight from the
Piculin cable car valley station to
Sompunt (Sponata) in Alta Badia, with services running every 20 minutes. From there it should take you roughly an hour to reach
Corvara where you can begin skiing the Sella Ronda - either clockwise (orange route) or anti-clockwise (green route).
Warning: It is advisable to reach the final Pass by 3.30 p.m., since otherwise reaching your final destination could become difficult. In the event of bad weather (snow or strong wind) some lift facilities might be closed.
The last ride on Sponata chair lift is at 4.15 p.m. (from February: at 4.45 p.m.). The last ride on Piculin cable car is at 4.30 p.m. (from February at 5.00 p.m.).
