Herrnsteig Freeride Trail

The Herrnsteig freeride trail at Kronplatz is 7 km and 1300 m of difference in altitude worth of pure biking fun. Featuring a number of steep turns, jumps and plenty more break-neck stunts, it is top-notch mountain biking for both pros and beginners. The trail starts on the top of Mount Kronplatz (2275 m) and can easily be reached using the Reischach cable car.

Forgot your bike? No need to miss out on the fun! The Kronplatz Outdoor Center has a large choice of state-of-the-art and expertly maintained bikes as well as the appropriate protective clothing. Their specialist staff will provide you with all the crucial information you need on both your bike and the trail.

The Herrnsteig freeride trail is open during the summer months (mid-June to mid-October).
Its opening hours are the same as the summer working hours of the Kronplatz-Reischach cable car.
