Bike, nature, tradition and culture

The bicycle route through the Pustertal-Val Pusteria valley accompanies the Rienza-Rienz and the Drau River from Fortezza-Franzensfeste past Brunico-Bruneck as far as Lienz in Austria, thus connecting the Pustertal with a gradual and constant up and down with the Isarco-Eisack Valley. Along the approximately 110 km (70 mile) route, riders can admire the drama of nature, experience the traditions that are typical to the location, and discover cultural treasures.

HINT: Be sure to allow extra time for the sights worth seeing and charming small cities and villages along the way.

It is a comfortable ride along asphalt and gravel roads through the high Alpine valley, and both leisure-time bicyclists and families can enjoy drinking up the sun and the deep green of the surroundings.

The bike route can basically be traversed in both directions, and transferring to the train to continue on or to return back is possible at virtually any time. There is consequently a multitude of places to board, making it possible to plan your own bicycle tour completely according to your own desires and needs.

Notice: The bike transport is not included in the HOLIDAYPASS, it is necessary to purchase an extra ticket.
