Starting point is the Gasthaus Sonne on the western outskirts of Gais on the Ahrntaler road (about 840 m, parking available). On the consistently good marked trail no. 7 you have to walk a bit up and then in a largely flat crossing steep forest slope to Castle Neuhaus (947 m). Break point in the castle tavern. Time required: approx. 30 minutes.
