South Tyrol's greatest asset is its natural environment, and, as gateways to Fanes-Sennes-Prags and Puez-GeislerNature Parks, both the municipalities of San Martin and San Vigilio are well aware of their responsibility as guardians of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. This is why San Vigilio and San Martin have decided to combat the columns of traffic with an environmentally friendly mobility system that allows visitors to explore and experience the countryside in a considerate manner. Besides Holidapass San Vigilio, which means free travel on public transport and regularly running summer shuttle buses to Pederü, Furkelpass and Würzjoch, as well as ski buses and ski trains in winter, there are e-bikes for hire for exploring the many cycle paths and the surrounding area. You can recharge your electric vehicle at electric filling stations too, of course. It's simply a great feeling to be able to take in the fantastic landscape and spectacular mountains on your way to your intended destination … courtesy of bus and train.
