With the project “s’Terner Schmelzpfandl” [the “Terento Melting Pot”] , the entire village reflects upon its own history and offers the classic dishes from the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley at harvest time: Dämpfer ravioli, cabbage soup, Schwårzplentan Ribl buckwheat donuts, Graukassuppe (soup with sharp Alpine skim milk cheese), Ziachkråpfn, Kirschtakråpfn, Puffa, and Tirschtlan (various fritters), and Årbassuppe (vegetable soup) are just some of the dishes with unusual names that taste unusually good. And the culinary voyage of discovery through the village becomes all the more exciting from one dining establishment to another, because every host or hostess has their own family recipe and their own interpretation of the dishes.
