GETTING HERE WITH PUBLIC TRANSPORT

  • BUS + BUS
    MONDAY TO SATURDAY: Take bus line 441 from Gsieser Tal valley via Tesido/Teisten and Monguelfo/Welsberg to Villabassa/Niederdorf to the bus stop in the village centre, “Von-Kurz-Platz”. Continue onward with bus line 442 to Pragser Wildsee lake.
  • BUS + TRAIN + BUS
    SUNDAY:
    Take bus line 441 from Gsieser Tal valley via Tesido/Teisten to Monguelfo/Welsberg train station. Continue by train to Villabassa. From there, it is a 4-minute walk to the bus stop “Von-Kurz-Platz”. Continue your journey with line 442 to Pragser Wildsee lake.
  • The CITYBUS 438 circulates from Monday to Friday between Tesido and Monguelfo (train station).
  • NEW! SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM THE TRAIN STATION MONGUELFO - PRAGSER WILDSEE LAKE from 16/07. - 16/09/2018: Take bus line 441or the citybus 438 (MO-FR) from Tesido to Monguelfo train station. Continue your journey with the shuttle service Monguelfo – Pragser Wildsee lake.

INFORMATION:

  • Take bus 442, route: Dobbiaco (bus station) – Villabassa – Pragser Wildsee lake

• Guest Card holders, e.g., HolidayPass, pay just €3 per person per journey from 16/07 to 16/09/2018.
• Children aged 6 and younger ride the bus for free.
• Holders of single tickets, value cards, Mobilcards, bikemobil Cards and museumobil Cards, Südtirol Pass abo+, EuregioFamilyPass, Südtirol Pass, Südtirol Pass free and Südtirol Pass 65+ may use the bus at normal price.
• Owners of four-legged friends must pay the normal fare for them (Regulation No. 760/2016 Article 23).

  • TRAIN and all line services (except line service 442 from 16/07 to 16/09/2018)

• Children aged 6 and younger ride the bus for free.
• Guest Card holders, e.g. HolidayPass, ride buses for free.
• Holders of single tickets, value cards, Mobilcards, bikemobil Cards and museumobil Cards, Südtirol Pass abo+, EuregioFamilyPass, Südtirol Pass, Südtirol Pass free and Südtirol Pass 65+ may use the bus at normal price.

  • The shuttle service from Monguelfo - Pragser Wildsee lake runs from 16/07 – 16/09/2018

• Children aged 6 and younger ride the bus for free.
• All guests aged 6 and older pay €3 per person/journey.
• Owners of four-legged friends must pay the normal fare for them (Regulation No. 760/2016 Article 23).

GETTING HERE WITH YOUR OWN CAR

State road (SS49-E66) direction MONGUELFO – BRAIES (SP47) 

Please factor in problems such as waiting times/traffic jams if deciding to arrive with your own car! From 16/07 to 16/09/2018, the street from Ferrara/Schmieden to Pragser Wildsee lake will be closed from 10:30 am to 2 pm. The following two options are open to visitors starting from the pay & display car park near Ferrara:

1.    Hiking from Ferrara to Pragser Wildsee lake (hiking trail no. 1, duration approx. 1 ½ hours)
2.    Continue your journey from the Park & Ride car park with line 442 or the Monguelfo – Pragser Wildsee lake shuttle service

Parking in Braies is limited!

Exceptions to road closings: permits (vouchers) for guests of corresponding accommodation providers (booking) and/or from restaurants (directly at the road closure: table reservations with down payment possible)
