The "2 Täler Trail" starts in Hopfgarten in Defereggen, heads along the Staller Saddle mountain pass and ends in Niederrasen in the Antholzertal Valley. Six daily stages spanning a total of 90 kilometres lie in store for hikers.
In the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina/Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, where striking mountain peaks clearly define the landscape and broad mountain meadows sprinkled with granite rocks extend beyond the Alpine pastures, mountain hiking becomes a very special experience. Fragrant meadow herbs, fresh mountain spring water, and whistling marmots are typical features of the Nature Park. Lovely, well-marked hiking trails lead to idyllic Alpine pastures and scenic lookouts

At the end of the Valle Anterselva-Antholzertal, past the Lago d’Anterselva-Antholzer See lake, it is possible to take the pass road up to the Staller Saddle at 2,050 m (6,726 ft.), the border with East Tyrol, Austria.
In the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley and its side valleys, there are countless cabins at Alpine meadows in operation. The cabins in the Valle Anterselva-Antholzertal are renowned for their good cooking and their hospitality. The Alpine meadow cabin is often the destination of a hike. A warm Kaiserschmarrn Tyrolean scrambled pancake or the homemade soup with Tyrolean Knödel dumplings are the perfect source of energy after some athletic activity.
