at Valle Aurina
The Valli di Tures and Aurina-Tauferer Ahrntal calls four ski areas its own. And all three offer superlatives, such as the mountain lift with the largest difference in elevation at the Speikboden, the highest eight-seat cable car in South Tyrol-Südtirol on the Klausberg, and with just two and a half kilometers (one and half miles) of ski runs, what is presumably the smallest and cutest ski area at Riva di Tures-Rein in Taufers. There is one more small ski area in Rio Bianco-Weißenbach, called "Alpinwellt Weißenbach".
The Klausberg ski area with its 30 kilometers (19 miles) of ski runs, 8 ski lift facilities, and 6 kilometers (4 miles) of sledding fun is the guarantee for hours of lively wedeling and exuberant partying afterwards. And for snowboarders and freeriders, there is also more than enough of a challenge in the Snowpark. Just south of that is also the Speikboden ski area. A total of seven ski lifts and more than 65 km (40 miles) of ski runs await winter sports freaks here! The highlights include one of the longest sled runs in all of South Tyrol-Südtirol, as well as the panorama view tower located at 2,400 m (7,900 ft.)! And for anyone looking for a little less activity beyond the big lifts: Riva di Tures and "Alpinwellt Weißenbach" are ideal for families, beginners at skiing, and those who seek a little peace and quiet during the winter.
