Starting from the valley head in San Maddalena/Val Casies Valley (1460m, refreshment point parking), at the entry of the Pidig Valley, follow the trail marking no. 49 into the valley and past typical pair farmhouses located on the sunny left hillside. The following ascent is compensated by the gorgeous natural scenery. At a narrow left turn the trail nearly touches the streamside. At that point the Kradorfer Alm (1704m, refreshment point) already comes into view. Possible descent along the squirrel trail.
