Start your hike at a comfortable pace at the church square and walk towards the hamlet “Schindelholz”, following the signposts number 51-54. The walk takes you uphill in short bends until you reach a fork. There, turn right and proceed to the chapel in Schindelholz 1478 m. Now, don’t miss another turn, this time left, and continue uphill, following the signposts 21A and 55 respectively. This route takes you to the hamlet Hölzl and down to the hamlet Brückenwirt/Wiesen. Now you have two options for your return: a) Take public transport to Durnwald and return to the starting point. b) Cross the bridge of the Pidig Stream and continue on the old Gsieser Road – Talblickweg – to the hamlet Durnwald. Turn left at the Chapel “Maria Hilf” (Our Lady of Perpetual Succour) and return to the parking area.
