Winter holidays in the Kronplatz region

The Kronplatz region has much to offer in winter. Skiers and snowboarders can explore three resorts with perfectly prepared pistes, while away from the lifts there are untouched forests and powder slopes for ski touring and snowshoe fans to discover.

Kronplatz, Speikboden and Klausberg also offer a comprehensive network of trails for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Tip! All equipment can be hired from the local sports shops.

Tobogganing is another great winter activity for all the family. The region has many toboggan runs open from early in the morning until late at night.

During the cold winter months a 300km network of cross country skiing trails criss-crosses the flat valley floor. Further facilities include a World Cup biathlon arena and a selection of outdoor ice rinks.

Finally, climbing enthusiasts keen for a fix of vertical action even in winter will be pleased to know that the region offers a number of locations for ice climbing
