A highlight for ski tourers

When snow falls, the glacier world of the Rieserferner mountain range turns into an impressive backdrop for passionate ski tourers. In our remote vale, outside the well-known skiing areas, you can look forward to ski tours for all levels of fitness and enjoy the soothing silence of this fascinating winter landscape. Whether you are heading off for your first ski touring experience or you already are a great enthusiast of this winter sport: Leave your own tracks in the snow, master the mountains of the Antholz Valley, enjoy the scenery of the snow-covered Dolomites and... top off your adventure with a thrilling descent amidst a landscape that feels like it solely belongs to you!

Snowshoeing in the Antholz Valley

The pristine snowy landscape of our valley not only offers winter hikes, cross-country skiing and ski tours to nature lovers, but also many other possibilities for unforgettable winter activities. This beautiful landscape invites you to enjoy some great snowshoe hikes that will last forever in your memories. A variety of hiking trails take you into the heart of the winter world of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, into the enchanting peacefulness of snow-covered forests and alpine meadows. The only sound that breaks this utter silence is the gentle crunching of the snow underneath your feet. Where will your outdoor adventure be leading you? A romantic hike along the iced Lake Antholz? Towards spectacular views over the surrounding alpine peaks? Or maybe on a leisurely hike to snowy mountain pastures? Whatever you feel like doing: snowshoeing in the Antholz Valley is a very special natural experience!

ALPINE & SKI TOURING GUIDE BAUMGARTNER MARTIN

Ski tour, ski traverse, ice climbing, ice wall, snowshoe hike, alpine tour

My name is Martin Baumgartner, and I was born in 1987; I’m also known as Jochele Martin, because I grew up on Jochelehof farm. I trained as a motor mechanic, and I now manage Jochelehof farm together with my family. I love walking in the mountains, both in summer and winter. In 2018, I passed the “certified alpine skier guide” exam, and I will be happy to accompany you up into the mountains. You can choose one of the many classic routes or opt for one of the lesser-known trails.
