From the bus stop in “Bahnhofstraße” at 1087 m, proceed through the village centre, pass the bandstand in the main square on your right side and carry on straight to the bridge over the Gsieser Stream. There, in an easterly direction follow the signs for the “Grosse Schlossrunde” (long Castle Walk) on the old Gsieser Road. After about 50 minutes turn right over a narrow wooden bridge and continue left on the other side. After a short climb along a wide bend and through meadows, continue all the way to the forest where you find the old Castle Walk. Now proceed downhill out of the valley through woods past Welsperg Castle, the “Paul Troger” memorial park and the secondary school all the way back to the starting point.
