How to reach Pragser Wildsee lake, Plätzwiese high plateau, the Drei Zinnen mountains, the Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe and other Dolomite passes in an eco-friendly way

The Braies Valley is accessible from 10.07. to 10.09.2023 from 9.30 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. only by public transport, on foot, by bicycle or upon presentation of a parking reservation or a valid transit permit.


  • To the Pragser Wildsee lake:

- By bus: For the shuttle to the Braies Lake (line 439 & 442) an online reservation with online payment is required in the period from 10.07. to 10.09.2023. As soon as the seats in the shuttle are fully booked, access is no longer possible with this.
- By car: more detailed information on how to get there with your own car can be found here
- Guests of restaurants, stores and other service providers in the Braies Valley receive a transit permit at; vacation guests of the Braies Valley receive a transit permit for the entire duration of their stay
- On foot or by bike: at any time and without restriction. Tours on



  • To the Plätzwiese high plateau:


- By bus: The public line 443 takes visitors from Welsberg and Toblach/Niederdorf directly to Prato Piazza. No reservation required (timetables:
- By car: With your own car you can reach Prato Piazza before 09:30 and after 16:00 with a fee. The parking lot in Brückele can be reserved online. Further information can be found here

  • To the Three Peaks & Auronzohütte hut:

From 03.06. to 09.10.2023 there is a shuttle bus from Dobbiaco to the Auronzo Hut, in alternative to the toll road with costs.

Note: for the entire period an online reservation with online payment is required. Remaining tickets, if available, can be purchased at the bus or train station in Dobbiaco.

  • How to get to the Fischleintal Valley

From 11.06. to 08.10.2023 the Fischleintal Valley can be reached exclusively by shuttle bus 440 Sesto-Fischleintal Valley, on foot, by bicycle or - with the exception of temporary closures (from 9.00 to 16.00) - by car. No reservation is required for the shuttle bus.

For visitors outside Sesto it is recommended to take the public line 446 from Dobbiaco - San Candido. You can change to the shuttle bus to the Fischleintal Valley at the valley station of the Helm cable car in Sesto.



  • To the Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe

The Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe can be reached by bus line no. 464 (Untermoj/Antermoia / Gadertal/Val Badia - Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe) every hour from mid-June to the beginning of October. The bus line nr. 464 starts from the cable car Pikolein (as connection to the bus line nr. 460 from Bruneck/Brunico - Corvara) to the Würzjoch/Passo delle Erbe.
From the beginning of September it is necessary to change to bus line no. 339 (coming from St. Peter/San Pietro /Villnöss/Val di Funes) in Untermoj/Antermoia.
