Accessibility Statement

The Kronplatz Brand Konsortialgesellschaft m.b.H. strives to make its website kronplatz.com accessible in accordance with the applicable legal provisions and the requirements of WCAG 2.1 Conformance Level AA.

The website is based on HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript and is regularly tested for accessibility. The source code is semantically structured and follows modern web standards.

The page structure follows a logical hierarchical order (H1–H6) and uses semantic HTML5 tags such as <header>, <main>, <nav>, and <footer>. The page language is correctly defined via the lang="de" attribute.

Compliance status with the requirements

This website is partially compliant with the requirements of WCAG 2.1 AA. The evaluation is based on an internal self-assessment, most recently carried out in October 2025.

Non-accessible content

a) Non-compliance with accessibility regulations

  • Images and icons: Not all images and graphical elements have appropriate alt texts or correctly implemented ARIA attributes.
  • Keyboard navigation: For interactive elements such as sliders, calendars, filters, or menus, keyboard navigation is partially limited. Furthermore, the keyboard focus is not sufficiently visible due to missing :focus-visible styles.
  • Structure & ARIA: Some structuring headings and important ARIA attributes such as aria-label, aria-expanded, aria-posinset, aria-setsize, aria-live, etc. are missing.
  • Contrast & readability: Some text areas have insufficient color contrast or use a font size that is too small (below 16 px). Scaling to 200 % is not yet fully ensured.
  • Autoplay functions: For sliders, there is no option to stop automatic playback, which affects usability for some users.
  • Forms: Some <label> elements with clear for attributes are missing. Error messages are not always sufficiently identified or accessible.
  • “More” links: Some links with generic text such as “more” are not self-explanatory. A title attribute for clarification is missing in some cases.

b) Disproportionate burden

  • Videos: Some embedded videos do not have audio descriptions, which violates WCAG 1.2.5. Providing them retrospectively is currently considered a disproportionate burden.

c) Content outside the scope of application

  • PDF and Office documents published before September 23, 2018 are not accessible (e.g., missing tags, no structural elements for screen readers).
  • Live videos are currently not subtitled.
  • External third-party content (e.g., studies or presentations) that is outside the consortium’s control is excluded from the directive.

We are continuously working to improve the accessibility of these contents.

Third-party content and functions

Some features and content integrated on kronplatz.com come from third-party providers and cannot be made fully accessible. These include:

  • Outdooractive (interactive maps, tour suggestions)
  • dolomitisuperski.com (ski and lift information, maps)
  • HGV booking widget (accommodation bookings)

These external widgets are outside our direct sphere of influence. Therefore, the accessibility of these components cannot be guaranteed.

Content embedded via <iframe> (e.g., maps, widgets) is, in many cases, not accessible. We continuously review alternatives or provide supplementary plain-text information.

Technical measures for improvement

  • Semantic HTML structure and correctly declared language (<html lang="de">)
  • “Skip to content” link for quick navigation: <a href="#content">Skip to content</a>
  • Keyboard accessibility: Interactive elements are reachable via the Tab key. The focus is visually visible.
  • Touch targets: Interactive elements are checked for a minimum size of 44×44 px.
  • Scalability: Text content can be enlarged up to 200 % without being cut off.
  • Table structure: Tables use <th> for headings and, if needed, summary attributes for description.
  • Use of ARIA roles and attributes: e.g., role, aria-label, aria-labelledby, aria-describedby, aria-live

Creation of this statement

This statement was created in October 2025 and last reviewed at that time.

The evaluation was carried out through an internal self-assessment of key page types, including the homepage, offer pages, events, filter pages, and form processes.
