Ski patrols and rescue services
Helpers in need

In cooperation with the local law enforcement services, a number of specially trained rescue teams constantly patrol all open and marked slopes at Kronplatz. Their primary response and coordination centre is located at the top of Mount Kronplatz near the Kron restaurant. A second response centre is situated next to the Piz de Plaies peak station to allow the rescue service teams to intervene significantly faster if help is needed anywhere near Piz de Plaies and Piculin. During high season, an additional rescue services team member is based at the Col Toron peak station to guarantee faster access to the Passo Furcia/Col Toron/Miara area.

The Kronplatz ski patrols and rescue services are organised by the Skirama Kronplatz lift operators' consortium, the Traumacenter Kronplatz surgery and the regional White Cross emergency assistance services. Collisions and other accidents are generally recorded and investigated by members of the local law enforcement services based in the Kronplatz resort. Accidents can be reported at all lifts, restaurants or ski pass offices and by calling the general emergency hotline on 112.

A fee of € 250 is charged for emergency assistance and the evacuation/transport of injured patients. For your own protection and the protection of others, we strongly recommend purchasing accident insurance. Insurance cover can be bought together with your ski pass from any ski pass sales point.
