Connect your DB or ÖBB Eurocity ticket

Once in South Tyrol, DB/ÖBB train travelers can use the ‘Connecting ticket Südtirol’, a ticket that allows travelling
with public transportation to get from the train station to their accommodation and vice versa on their day of arri-
val/departure.

International railway connections are offered as far as Fortezza-Franzensfeste in South Tyrol-Südtirol. Change there for the local rail line to the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Due to construction work, there will be the following partial closures of the Pustertalbahn:

Brunico/Bruneck - Fortezza/Franzensfeste: 15.12.2024 - 13.12.2025

Brunico/Bruneck - San Candido/Innichen: 14.04.2025 - 02.06.2025

Rio Pusteria/Mühlbach - Fortezza/Franzensfeste: 14.12.2025 - 26.01.2026

 

There will be a rail replacement service with buses running between Brunico/Bruneck and Bressanone/Brixen. The timetable can be viewed here.

How do I reach my accomodation?

"Südtirol Transfer" – comfortably to your holiday accommodation
If you arrive by train or bus in South Tyrol, you can use the "Südtirol Transfer”, a region-wide connection shuttle for the last few kilometers to your accommodation.
You can get to your holiday accommodation from the train stations in Bolzano/Bozen, Meran/Merano, Mals/Malles, Brixen/Bressanone, Bruneck/Brunico or Innichen/San Candido, as well as from the ‘Flixbus’ bus stops in Bolzano, Meran, Klausen/Chiusa, Vahrn/Varna or Sterzing/Vipiteno and after your holiday you will be brought back to the stop.

 

As a collective shuttle or individual transfer, bicycles and dogs can also be carried on request and if necessary, the shuttle is barrier-free. Children up to 12 years travel with a 35% discount.

Arriving by bus

Arrival with Flixbus

With Flixbus you can reach South Tyrol via Munich, Innsbruck or Verona several times a day.

Unlimited use of all public transportation (including regional rail travel) in all of South Tyrol-Südtirol throughout the entire year.

With the Mobilcard Südtirol (7, 3 or 1 day) all public transport can be used as often as you like. The mu-seumobil Card (7 or 3 days) also allows you to visit more than 90 participating museums in South Tyrol. With the bikemobil Card (7, 3 or 1 day), you can rent additionally a bike or e-bike from Südtirol Bike or Pa-pinSport for one day. All Mobilcards are available at the Tourist Office.
